The hardware of the WGN has gotten old, the central server increases the risk of failure.  All mails and data are stored at the local location of the company. For this server are hardly any spare parts available, it also works in an outdated operating system.




iRIX was commissioned with digital modernization and moved the mail server to the cloud as a first step. This measure relieved the old server and made the mail service more resilient.  The old server was also virtualized in order to be able to operate it virtually in the event of a failure of the hardware until the transfer.  All desktop computers have been replaced by laptops, the firewall has been renewed and the company's WLAN network has been rebuilt.  The establishment of a state-of-the-art backup concept provides additional security.  All work was done within the schedule and budget.




By adding a cloud, you can now easily work on the go.  This enables external employees and members of the Board of Directors to have mobile and secure access to all relevant data at all times.  The environment is now more resilient, modern and performs better.  Thomas Kötter can look back on a pleasant collaboration: "iRIX understood our problems and needs right from the start and was able to propose a solution concept pragmatically and swiftly with our self-conception as an" IT trustee ".»
