Federal Office of Public Health - Efficient master data management
„iRIX understood exactly what our needs were regarding master data management. They gave us excellent advice, developed a professional, comprehensive concept and quickly enabled us to start productive operations with a cost-effective pilot solution.“
Kris Haslebacher, Application Manager Master Data Management, Health and Accident Insurance
Challenge
The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) wants to set up a central, professional master data management system for the health insurance sector. This need is evident in the establishment of a master data management system with data from various insurers. However, the project threatens to mutate into a large-scale project for which a WTO tender is necessary. Since there is still no experience in the field of master data management and the whole project is also under great time pressure, a two-stage procedure is chosen. iRIX is to develop a comprehensive concept with architectural proposals on the one hand, and on the other offer a cost-effective pilot solution, which can manage multilingual master data and is also expandable.
Solution
After a thorough analysis of needs, iRIX developed a concept for a long-term solution that can later be implemented within the framework of a WTO tender. At the same time, iRIX implemented a cost-effective pilot solution and put it into effect within a very short time. The solution is very easy to expand thanks to modelling based on Data Vault.
Added value for the client
With the help of detailed documentation and examples, the customer is now able to expand the solution independently for simple extensions. The master data can now be created and managed in several languages. The iRIX solution is also very cost-effective in terms of licensing and maintenance costs.
